this is a photorealistic approah.. i used pencil only.. 3B.. i tried to make the drawing more artistic by enhancing the highlights n leaving out some outlines...

thanks alot!

my advise is.. start from light to dark, and spend more time on ur work. beware of the main light source and where the darkest area is. erm, what else u wanna know?

thank's, well I like your technique, my interest is is it better to start off with a high h lead pencil or do an outline in just an h-hb lead?

H pencil is too hard, too stiff for me. i prefer soft pencils. so normally i start off straight away with a 3B or 4B pencil by just drawing lightly.

That is an AMAZING portrait of Ronaldo. Really awesome pencil work! I love the high contrast and the simple background. Great proportions too.
