Beethoven's Violin Concerto

Another Poster Design & Illustration I did for Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra for the Beethoven's Violin Concerto performance. This is my own favourite out of the 3 posters I have done for them so far. As usual it went through countless rounds of revision by the Executive Creative Director by I have to say the final result is really a lot better than the 1st round so I guess all the revisions were worth it.

Painted in Photoshop and layout done in Adobe Illustrator.

Rationale of the piece:
The 3 different coloured spread from the hair of Beethoven in the picture represents different emotions for each of the 3 movements in the Violin Concerto. The yellow part on the left portrays the joyful, happening, bright atmosphere in the first movement of the piece. The blueish part in the middle portrays the sentimental emotion in the second movement. Lastly, the red part on the right represents the grand, passionate and strong finale of the piece in the third and final movement. The oil painting portrait of Beethoven is based on a sculpture of him, and added in the realistic details by myself, which has never been done before by anyone. Therefore, this will be a unique portrait of Beethoven that you can find in this world, with a special meaning added to it only dedicated to this violin concerto piece.
